We congratulate all the citizens of Tula and it’s guests, and invite them to celebrate the Day of the city! Let our historical city be forever young and full of life, something that citizens of Tula are famous for.
Tula is not only the samovar capital. It is the center for weapon manufacturing and the birthplace of the delicious Tula gingerbread. Our city was a pioneer in many areas of social life as well: it is a place where one of the first bicycle tracks in the Russian Empire was created, the first nursery for children of factory workers (Krasnoglazovskie), the first shelter for intoxicated people.
With the initiative and at the expense of caring residents of Tula, many public services and installations we developed: a shelter for terminally ill people (one of the first Russian hospices), Petrovsky Park (now named after P.I.Belousov), hospitals (Vanykinsky and children’s named after St. Vladimir) and much more.
We wish you long life and prosperity, our beloved city!
